JLondon Images High School Senior Philosophy
The high school portrait experience is the sweeter side of JLondon Images, because it really is about the celebration of your milestone. You are on the homestretch of your “mandatory” education career, you’re almost an adult and at the same time, it is the beginning of a new chapter (after graduation). Whatever your motivation is to finish high school, it’s a great time to celebrate.
Serving seniors here in Alpharetta and Roswell, Georgia, I have found that your senior year flies by so quickly. This is why it is so important to capture this amazing time in your life before the end of your first semester, senior year. I too, invested in a portrait session when I was your age and I still have those images to this day. They followed me on my move from the UK to the USA. The experience gave me confidence and reminded me how beautiful I was and am. Looking through my senior portrait album gave me permission to love who I was becoming and my hope is the JLI Experience will pass on the same sentiments about you.
Getting To Know The High School Student
To ensure that my high school students enjoy the BEST photography experience, it is important that I get to know you, your likes and dislikes, your goals and aspirations. A high school student should get to know their photographer too, ask questions and look at their body of work all before the session takes place.Your portraits should reflect the REAL YOU, your quirks, your laughter and who you are today, in this moment. This is why I provide you with a detailed questionnaire to complete prior to conversation and meeting. The information provided will allow me to share some location ideas and themes with you, especially if you are at a loss for ideas.
“Not only do you deserve beautiful images, you deserve an amazing photography experience. “
Your Wardrobe & Look For The Portrait Session
Senior portrait sessions include a professional makeup artist, it is the beginning of your personal experience. The JLI philosophy is to always represent who you are and not change who you are. The makeup applied will only accent your features.
Before your session, put a few well-thought out outfits together. The outfit should represent you. This is your time to shine. The portrait session lasts up to 90 minutes. This will give you enough time to change your look and outfit. Exciting right? I also have a mobile changing tent for you to privately change quickly and comfortably. Yes, it is all part of the experience. No more changing in public restrooms…eewwww!!!
Your clothing should flatter you. My biggest piece of advice is to not arrive with branded articles of clothing that take away from your unique features and beautiful/handsome face. In addition, accessories should add to the outfit and not steal the attention. My clients love to share their ideas with me prior to the session, I welcome the gesture. It’s my pleasure.
After The Portrait Session
So the session is over, but the experience is still rolling. Before we part ways your parents will schedule your “Portrait Reveal”. This is where you get to finally see, order and purchase your images. You will not be limited to the traditional package and sizes you may have previously been accustomed to at school. This experience is personal to you. Most of my students go for the acrylic print, and acrylic front album, but every student and family is different. This is why I provide a range of products tailored to you and your needs, that you will get to touch and feel at “The Reveal”.
Well, you wait in anticipation. You’ve done the hard part, now all you have to do is begin preparing that spot on the wall or the space on your coffee table for your images. Your images will be professionally delivered to you and now you get to share the evidence of your JLI experience with friends and family.
