Liberian Food in Metro Atlanta
Although I am based in Metro Atlanta and my heritage goes back to Africa, I am first generation British born in my family. Africa is a very large continent and each country differentiates itself by languages, tribes, culture, seasons, music and lastly food. I consider myself part Central and part East African.
What I admire about the food, by way of my mother’s fabulous cooking, is that multiple cuisine’s call for fresh ingredients. My mom is East African but loves to learn new recipes from other nations. For this reason, I was specifically exposed to West, Central and East African dishes. Cassava Leaves, Okra Soup and Peanut Stew are my favorite dishes.
You can imagine my reaction when the owner of Serbea Living contacted me to improve her product branding. This Women and Black-Owned business was birthed out of faith, passion and excellence. It is very successful in it’s niche of the market. The food served is well presented, smells and looks delicious. Serbea Living food reminds me of my mom, my family and brings on happy memories.
Being a British African residing in America, I am proud to support this business and have gone back to place an order. Enjoy these dishes, visually, or visit Serbea Living when in Atlanta
