New Jersey met Louisiana and celebrated in Georgia. This is the only accurate description I can give to this wedding. Both individuals reside in Georgia but come from two different parts of the country. They kept true to their culture and roots, which made this wedding as unique as it was. With masks, beads, umbrellas and trumpet music, I felt as though I was experiencing a taste of Mardi Gras.
I have known this couple for a while and it was a blessing to be a part of their wedding celebration and festivities. He proposed after a church service in private and she just kept repeating ” are you serious?” before she realized she had yet to accept the proposal. He sang ” You are so Beautiful to me” whilst she walked down the aisle. As she came into view he stopped midway in the chorus and boldly confessed “You Sure are Beautiful” which had everyone in rolls of laughter, including the bride.
My hope is that the laughter and joy continues through with them. Please join me in congratulating this lady and her suitor on their once in a life time journey. I cant wait to see what life has in store for them.
